Sunday school for children is fun and exciting. Sunday school is between services at 9:45 AM starting in the Sanctuary. All children pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade first meet in the Sanctuary for music with Mr. Paul. Then they move to the classroom to hear a Bible story followed by crafts and a snack. It is a new aproach at Covenant and the children love it! Nursery care is provided for infants through 3 years during worship and Sunday school.
There are several special programs and activities for children throughout the year:
Vacation Bible School - One a week in July children come everyday to learn stories from the Bible, make crafts, play games, eat snacks, and sing.
Christmas Pageant - Every Christmas children practice for several weeks and participate in a Christmas pagent to the church.
Hosana Parade - On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus' arrival to Jerusalem. A donkey visits the church and children ride on it between services.
Holy Week Happening - The children learn about Holy Week and Easter through crafts, stories, and snacks.
Easter Egg Hunt - The youth hold an Easter egg hunt at the church for the children and provide snacks, crafts, and games.
Special mission projects - The children collect hats and mittens, school bags full of supplies, and books for children in our community in need.
